Katy When I designed the interlocking doves - I tried to figure out how to quilt what I designed. I tried English paper piecing (see on the book) - but I didn't like how it turned out. So, I must find my template - as I decided the hand-quilting in a variegated blue/green threat - would serve to outline each dove. We'll see how it turns out. The needle-turn applique is done - now it's time to pick out a batting, backing & begin quilting.

Dee Brandvig am just being nosy, anxious to see your progress, this is so lovely, subtle, soothing...i am a machine quilter, but i understand exactly what you mean about the 'zen' of hand-quilting...it is simply a completely different thing but just as enjoyable...

Katy Ah! This means there needs to be a little bit of progress. I got side-tracked knitting and on my kitchen remodel. Thanks Dee for the needed nudge.
